Mobile Application Privacy Policy

Introduction

This application is operated by Indian Hills Country Club, Inc. (the “Club”) with the goal of better serving our members through portable access to Club news and many of our amenities.  Your privacy is of utmost importance to us and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes:

  • The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download, access, or use the Indian Hills Country Club mobile application (the “App”).
  • Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy applies only to information we collect in this App and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through this App.

This policy does not apply to information that we collect offline or on other websites you may access through this App, including our Club website, nor does it apply to information you provide to or is collected by any third party.

Although our privacy policies and practices with respect to information collected through our Club website are substantially the same as the policies described in this statement, we encourage you to access and review them by clicking on the “Privacy Policy” link found on our website at www.indianhillscc.com.

Please read this statement carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. By downloading, registering with, or using this App, you agree to this privacy policy.

Children Under the Age of 13

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

Information We Collect and How We Collect It

We collect information from and about users of our App:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.
  • Automatically when you use the App.

Information You Provide to Us 

When you download, register with, or use this App, we may ask you provide information:

  • By which you may be personally identified, such as name, membership account number, postal address, email address, telephone number, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline (“personal information”).
  • That is about you but does not identify you individually, such as your opinion regarding the value of current Club activities and your recommendations regarding future possibilities.

This information includes:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms in the App. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the App, responding to member surveys or polls, indicating your interest in Club events, making reservations for golf, tennis, dining or other use of our facilities such as private parties and events, registering yourself or your family members for services or events at the Club. 
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses and phone numbers), if you contact us.
  • Your search queries on the App.

Automatic Information Collection  

When you download, access, and use the App, it may use technology to automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic and usage data as well as which of the App resources that you access and use most frequently. This App does not collect real-time information about the location of your device.

If you do not want us to collect this information do not download the App or delete it from your device.  The usage details that we collect are derived mainly by tallying page views, functions used and other measurements of use and interest that help us to better tailor our App content to our Members’ needs.

Information Collection Technologies

The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include:

  • Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your smartphone. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your smartphone. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our App.
  • Analytics Tools.  Analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics for Apps may be used to collect aggregate information about users of our App to measure their interest in, and use of, various aspects of the App.  If we employ analytics tools, we will be relying only on aggregate information, which information does not identify you, such as statistical and navigational information.

How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to:

  • Provide you with the App and its contents, and any other information or services that you request from us.
  • Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it, including registration or reservations regarding use of Club amenities.
  • Give you notices about your membership, including event reminders and registration deadlines.
  • Notify you when App updates are available, and of changes to any services we provide though it.

The usage information we collect helps us to improve our App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:

  • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our App according to your individual interests.
  • Speed up your searches.
  • Recognize you when you use the App.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information (that does not identify any individual), without restriction.  An example of such aggregated non-identifiable information sharing would be from us to our software and App developers so that they can help us determine what changes, if any, to our current platform may benefit our Members.

We will never share your personal information with unaffiliated or non-agent third parties for advertising and marketing purposes.  Subject to the following extremely limited exceptions, we will never disclose personal information that we collect or you provide to any third parties or our affiliates for any purpose. 

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.  For example, if you give us an email address and ask that we add it to a designated distribution list, or pass it along to another Club member or non-member for any purpose.  Another example would be if we establish an “email a friend” feature of our Website or App, and you provide us with your email for purposes of using that feature, we will transmit the contents of that email and your email address to your designated recipient(s).
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information, or with your prior consent.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights or safety of Indian Hills Country Club, our Members or others.

Your Choices About Our Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Your Information

Because we already have policies in place to ensure that we do not and will not collect, share or use your personal information for any advertising or marketing services and do not provide access to such information to any non-agent third parties, the possibilities to further limit or control the collection or use of your personal information are limited.  You can either cease use of and delete the App or you can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of the App may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the App and visiting your account profile page. You can also review and make changes at any time to your personal information by logging into the Members’ Portal of our website and then linking to “Edit My Personal Information” found on the Members Central page.

You can also send us an email at [email protected] to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information related to the App except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will post the new privacy policy on this page. Your continued use of this App after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
